Pink Pup

Today I had a big chunk of free time, so I thought I would seize the day and do some batiks. I gathered up my supplies, melted the wax, painted wax on white fabric, and prepared some dye baths. I set them out on the sunny deck and yard and moved the chairs away to prevent nosey dogs from snooping around.

Then the phone rang, and I chatted a while with my college-student daughter. After I hung up, a living candy cane whizzed by me. Needless to say, some little Maltese named Coco was popped in the bath before the dye could set.

Oh he is the cutest pink little thing. How did he wash out? and do tell how do you think his entire face became pink? Is this what they mean by "rub your nose in it"?lol

How funny!(And cute!) My cat likes to stick her nose in my business. I don't do as much painting as glueing. Last week I was working on a project where I had mixed up a color in the middle of my paint tray. She jumped up in my lap and right into the paint before I could stop her. Had to grab her really fast before she could get down and spread white kitty prints all over the house. Thankfully she "let" me wash her paw and leg off without scratching me, but she was extremely PO'd.
