New Stencil Release! (and a Give-Away!)

I'm super excited to have my 4th StencilGirl group of designs debut today. This group has a geometric I call Picnic Check; a leafy floral called Woodcut Garden; and....drumroll...a Paper Doll! I have been making and trading arty paper dolls for years in various online groups. You can see the dolls I made over the years here. I have used all kinds of templates and vintage dolls, and nothing was quite perfect, so I finally decided to come up with my own design. Can guess whose little face (from her kindergarten photo) was used for the new stencil design?

I like to mix and match doll parts, so for some of my samples, I experimented with other StencilGirl stencils as well as stamps and downloadable images from The Graphics Fairy and ArtTeaLife. For the middle doll, I used a goddess/princess dress by Carol Wiebe. The wings were a stencil by Kristie Taylor, and the crown a stamp from Gwen Lafluer for PaperArtsy.

Here's a few things I made with my new stencils:

I made a folding ATC doll (above on left), a journal page about loving your inner child (center), and a poseable paper doll with limbs made from the Woodcut Garden used with pink spray distress ink.

Four versions of the Picnic Check: a blue gelli print, and orange and yellow gelliprint, tan embossing powder on black cardstock, and a red and blue acrylic stenciled picnic design.

Depending on the colors and mediums used, the Woodcut Garden can look very different. I made an light aqua gelliprint, a white embossed design with a deep pink watercolor resist, an multicolor design using assorted distress oxide inks, and a bold looking version with black ink on tan cardstock.

Here's a short video I made that shows my dollmaking process:

GIVEAWAY! Post a comment here, on my Facebook page, or on my Instagram by June 26 to be in the running to win a set of all three new stencils.

I always wanted to have one of these stencils. But it is very expensive to import some to Brazil. Who knows, maybe luck will help me to win one. They are so gorgeous!!!
